Trouble Shooting Steps: All WOLF winders are designed to have cycles rest between its winding cycles to ensure that the proper amount of tension is placed on the main spring of your watch. All watch cycles will take approximately 6 hours of winding and rest, and then will go into a 18 hour sleep phase before returning back to the winding cycles. When placing the cuff inside of the drum, please ensure that the watch strap is fastened securely so that the watch does not sway back and forth during its winding. Once you place the cuff inside of the drum, you will hear a clicking noise that will indicate when each side of the cuff is locked into the drum. All WOLF winders utilize gravity to rotate the rotor inside of your watch. This means that if the face of the watch is pointed towards the ceiling or ground, the rotor inside of your watch will be prohibited from rotating and therefore will not receive power.

Probably the best option out there unless you want to really over-pay. My winder just arrived. Summary – Its fine but expectations vs reality are slightly our of wack. My initial impressions are as follows:1. Build quality and materials appear to be fine. Exterior fit and finish are good, but it is just faux leather (which was, to be fair, clear in the product description)… Same for the chrome (plated?) knobs …Nothing wrong with it at all, but I feel like the thing is just trying a little too hard.2. Less visible components and overall…

Looks as great as it works! ***** UPDATE, February 27, 2016Just wanted to update, in terms of longevity, here it is nearly a year later, and this winder is still working flawlessly. Utterly silent, and never has failed under continuous use, 24 hours a day. I will note that my watch does slowly gain time sitting in this, but it’s not a big deal to turn the hands back a few minutes, as opposed to not using a winder and having to totally reset the time and date every time I put it on, between uses…
